Posted November 14, 2019 10:02:48A sightseeing bus traveling from a resort in the Hawaiian Islands to the town of Pukalua has lost control of the bus and is now stranded on a mountain, police said.
A spokeswoman for the Pukulua police department said the driver of the sightseeing Bus, which was traveling between the town and Waipahu on Sunday afternoon, lost control while trying to make a right turn and hit a snow bank.
The driver, whose name has not been released, had been driving with the bus for about 45 minutes when he lost control, causing the bus to hit a tree.
The bus, with 10 people aboard, was travelling from Pukula to Waipaho on Sunday when it lost control and fell off the road.
Police said the bus was being towed by a tow truck.
A passenger on the bus told ABC News he was waiting for the bus at the time the accident occurred.
He said the vehicle was on the way to a town about 200 miles north of Honolulu.
Police say the driver had not been wearing a seat belt.
No passengers or crew were injured.
