Norway is famous for its long winters and beautiful beaches.
However, it’s not always easy to see the sunsets and sunrises of the country’s islands.
So the Norwegian Sightseeing Boat Tourists are here to help.
They are coming to see Norway’s famous sights, while also getting to know their islands.
The boats take tourists to the countrys southernmost islands, Vatsjærne and Stromsørne, as well as the northernmost island of Jogmansbok.
The Norwegian Sighting Boat Tourist Association is also sponsoring the boat tours in Jogmensbok and Stoljeskog.
Here’s what you need to know about the boat tour.
What’s on board?
The Norwegian sightseeing boats are usually very big, measuring around 50 metres (164 feet) long and 45 metres (136 feet) wide.
However you might also find a small, single-board, motorised, recreational vessel, which is usually less than 10 metres long.
The main attraction is the Norwegian sightseer, which can be found on the boat.
It’s also a good idea to check the weather forecast beforehand and also have a map.
The sightseers can also make a stop in the islands’ most famous spot, Varsnes, to take photos and chat to locals.
What to bring?
The boats are equipped with a large camera, which allows you to take pictures of the surrounding scenery, such as islands, coves and rivers.
You can also use your smartphone, tablet or camera phone to take video.
The ferry boat’s motor will also be able to make a smooth sailing, so there’s no need to get too comfortable.
Also, you will need a safety gear.
You will need goggles and sunscreen.
And if you are lucky, you might even be able see the Norwegian Islands’ sunsets in the boats.
Can I bring my camera?
No, you should bring your own camera.
The boat will carry around 50mm wide-angle lens, so you can get some really close-ups.
If you don’t have a large enough camera, a telephoto lens is also possible.
You should also bring a camera with a tripod, so that you can take a picture while the boat is moving.
You may want to wear a mask when you’re on the boats as well.
How long will the boat trip take?
It usually takes about 10 to 15 hours to drive around the islands.
You might need to catch the ferry from Jogmenbok to Stolje, but this trip is not recommended.
The maximum distance between islands is approximately 20 kilometres (12 miles).
Where to stay?
The best places to stay are in the tourist towns of Jodenskog and Stoli, but you might want to stay on the islands if you don´t have much time or if you want to get away from the busy streets of Jørgensen.
The island of Stoljan is the best choice, as you can easily get a decent view of the sunrises and sunsets.
You won’t want to leave Jogmanbok, but if you have time and are in a good mood, you could try the village of Stoli.
You could also take a trip on the island of Røge.
You need to bring your passport and bring your luggage with you to the islands, so don’t forget to bring the food with you as well!
